Creating as a Learning Process
Side projects can be liberating and super fun. They give me a pressure-free environment in which I learn in my own time, in my own way. There are commitments , tasks, obligations , server downtime, collect and data analytics to collect and analyze.
One example is flatuicolorpicker Flat UI color picker, a UI color pallete tool, which I created this tool, since 2013. Throughout this project,I initiated conversations about potential collaborations. I improved the product through qualitative and quantitative user research and iterated based on real feedback. It gave me the opportunity to combine Ux thinking with business communication, and how implementation decisions can directly impact a product’s value.
These projects help me to explore new ides, sharpen my skills, refine techniques and evolve as a designer in mindset. They help me to explore new techniques or , thought deliberate practice, to improve my current skills. Especially from business and user perspectives. They also boost my mental heath and providing an escape from work. Side projects keep me inspired and remind me of why I love to solving problems. In the end, they reflect how I think, what I value, and how I am to create experiences for users, for teams and the community.
